This is the first pay per view that I am going in mildly blind to. I started a new job so all of my watch time is taken up by the drive to and from work, plus writing for the site. I know the jist of what’s going on, so I feel pretty comfortable making some predictions.
Like always, I get these matches from Wikipedia and they probably won’t be in this order.
Ryback vs. Rusev: I can honestly say that even if was watching RAW and Smackdown regularly, I still wouldn’t care about this match. Personally I like Ryback, but his matches are pretty quick due to him getting winded. Cardio’s no joke people, go do some laps. This is a non title match, so it’ll probably start off the pay per view and have Rusev winning due to interference from Lana.
Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose: This is a toss up and will possibly match of the night. Both Owens and Ambrose put on great performances, and if they bring in some chairs or tables then this could be a match worthy of a This is Awesome chant. Since Ambrose didn’t win last pay per view I’d like to see him beat Owens for the belt.
The New Day vs. The Usos vs. The Lucha Dragons: The New Day has grown on me a lot and even though I do like The Lucha Dragons, it’s probably going to be The Usos who win it.
Charlotte vs. Paige: Ric Flair will be in Charlotte’s corner and I think this will solidify her official heel turn. Paige will try to get a legitimate win, but Ric will cause a distraction and Charlotte will win. Let’s hope this sets up a story line where we see Sasha Banks go after the title.
The ECW Originals vs. The Wyatt Family: This is a no brainer, the ECW Originals have to win this one. The Wyatt Family has become the go to story progression wrestlers, and they wouldn’t drag a bunch of older wrestlers to a pay per view to have them lose.
Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger: This match is embarrassing because they are wrestling over Zeb Coulter. I feel like during this match The League of Nations will come down and interfere, but they could wait until the main event to step in. I think that Swagger will win.
Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns: It’s too soon for Sheamus to lose the belt, especially when there are more high profile pay per views coming up in a few months. Sheamus will win, possibly by an interaction from The League of Nations.
