Spooky season is officially here, and somehow our Halloween conversation ends at the Grand Canyon. Nobody put us in charge of a travel agency, thankfully.

This episode of Gameoration starts with local spooky things to do for Halloween before Taylor gets into his history with the horror game Kholat and the real-life Dyatlov Pass incident that inspired it.

We discuss the story, the hikers’ decision to make the trip, and whether knowing the risks changes how we look at what happened. Then we take a hard detour into some ridiculous Grand Canyon takes involving guardrails, cameras, and why we probably shouldn’t be anyone’s wilderness guides.

What’s your take on the Kholat story—and what’s your favorite local Halloween attraction? Let us know in the comments!

Our Grand Canyon comments are jokes, not travel guidance.
