That Disney money must be real strong because it keeps bringing Dwayne Johnson back for more movies. I feel like Disney has it’s own John Hughes-esque pack of people they bring back again and again, much like Tim Burton with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. With movies like Race to Witch Mountain, The Game Plan and the upcoming Moana Dwayne is a perfect fit for a movie based around the Jungle Cruise attraction, which is happening according to THR
For those who have never been on this attraction at Disneyland, you are given about a 10 minute ride through the jungle on boat with a witty tour guide. Some of the tour guides are witty, since they are played by cast members (Disney employees) only some of them have decent jokes. During the ride you see such sites as elephants, hippos, lions, tribes of people and snakes. All of these are animatronic and I don’t want to ruin your day, but your boat is also on a rail and not really being piloted.
Based on the ride, I can only image that the story would be about a cruise of people going to find some treasure somewhere. Dwayne is probably the cruise captain and there will be some lovely lady who is also being dragged around by an evil overbearing boyfriend who is on a hunt for a secret jewel. Mostly all of the attractions will be represented some how and I really hope that they write corny jokes for who ever really is the cruise captain.
