You may have forgotten this from July, but we are getting a Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie from DC. While at New York Comic Con this weekend, the producer James Tucker was asked about the animated movie and said that they were given permission to have it rated R. This means that the most pivitol scene of the book, Joker shooting and then stripping Barbara Gordon, may be shown in it’s full glory. Even thought this would sound like a good idea, there is no real 100% proof that they will actually go ahead and use the power they were given. After social media took his quote and ran with it, Tucker also went to social media to clarify himself.
Never fails that I get misquoted at a con! I’m not directing “Killing Joke” and what rating it gets won’t be decided for a long time.

As much as we’d all like to see a sexy and violent movie about The Killing Joke, you may have to just use your imagination. As Jame said, there is a long time before the movie comes out and they do still have a demographic that they need to keep.
