If you’re a gamer and a fan of Kevin Smith, and all of the viewaskewniverse he has created, then there is a new game that is being crowd funded on Fig that you should know about.
Set in Leonardo, New Jersey, you play as Jay and Silent Bob on their way to get an Orange Julius. Unfortunately, due to all of their illegal activity, they are not allowed in any malls locally so they have to travel to the next city. What ensues is a side scrolling beat’em up where you play as the hetero life mates as they travel through locations filled with Easter eggs and locations from all of Kevin Smiths movies. If you’ve watched Mallrats then you know that Jay loves him some berserk barrage and Silent Bob has referred to himself to the Incredible Bulk, so the following gifs should make sense.
The combat will be a little different as you can debuff your enemies with insults from Jay, but in this game it’s referred to as lowering their self worth.
The game is coming to PC through the Windows 10 store or Steam and can also be purchased as part of a humble bundle. If you’re looking to play this game this year, then you may be disappointed. The game has an end date of April 1, 2016 and has given a release date of Quarter 1 2018. This means that if this game is fully funded it will be out in two years, so if you buy it make sure the email you use will be one that will also be used then. I got in on the early reward tier and for $18 I get a digital copy, which looks to be able to be played with an Xbox One or Playstation 4 control.
