If you’re one of the people waiting for a fifth Lethal Weapon movie, then there may be something to hold you over during your very long wait. I can admit that Lethal Weapon was a great movie series that had an iconic team up and some notable characters, but is anyone really asking for another movie?
According to THR FOX is working on making a comedic thirty minute show based on Lethal Weapon. The show will take a look at Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh being teamed up and this will turn into another cop show. I don’t want to ruin anything, but this will be FOX’s attempt at getting another cop show filled with laughter. Brooklyn Nine-Nine currently is FOX’s only comedic cop show and there aren’t that many crimes actually being solved.
Right now I’m not sure if the two will be young or follow the movie and be a little older. I would also like to point out that any cameos that may happen probably will never happen. Danny Glover, Mel Gibson, Joe Pesci and Chris Rock are all way to big to appear, but maybe if you’re lucky one Murtaugh’s kids may make a cameo that will have to be pointed out.
