Sad news broke over the weekend as the continuing snowball effect of Hideo Kojima leaving Konami continues. During an event, at the San Fransisco Film Society, director Guillermo Del Toro stated that the Silent Hill game that he and Hideo were working on was no more.

Earlier today Konami sent out the following statement
Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued
Konami will continue to make Silent Hill games, just not this one. So if you were able to get the demo I’d say keep it as long as you can, because as of April 29th the demo will expire from the Playstation Store. I suppose the last thing we’ll be able to see and play is Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain which Hideo stated he would see through completion.
