The Marvel universe is home to not only some of the biggest superheroes and villains, but some of the biggest battles as well. People with extraordinary abilities don’t always keep their battles confined to open spaces where there aren’t any buildings or civilians around, but what happens to all those broken buildings after the battle? This is why the comic Damage Control was created and released to the public. The comic Damage Control was released in the late 1980’s and focused on the clean up crew to the battles I mentioned above and Marvel has decided to move forward with developing a TV show based on it. According to THR
Marvel’s Damage Control centers on the overworked and underpaid cleanup crew of the Marvel Universe. Their specialty is dealing with the aftermath of the unique fallout from superhero conflicts, like returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, rescheduling a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a battle or even tracking down a missing prize African parrot that’s been turned to stone or goo. Sometimes the most important heroes are the ones behind the scenes.
There haven’t been any direct mentions of this crew, but I’m sure you was them working in the background in the beginning of season 1 episode 8 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
No word on if there will be direct tie in’s to the current Marvel shows or if they’ll just pick up and mention superhero’s and villains from the Marvel universe.
