Alright, let’s break down what Marvel heroes currently have at least one season on Netflix and who hasn’t. Daredevil is in the lead with 2 seasons, Jessica Jones has 1 season, Luke Cage has a season premiering later this year, Iron Fist just got cast and will follow after Luke Cage and a Punisher series will possibly be tossed in the mix. Now since the first mention of the main characters, not including Punisher, the main goal was to give each person a series then round them up to for The Defenders. Even though The Defenders was a rotating group of heroes on the comics, they are going to be focusing on the four characters that were chosen to get stand alone series’.

We already have some characters out now and more on the way, so the question is now when The Defenders will be premiering. If that question still lingers in your mind, please allow me to point you to an interview that Charlie Cox did with Independent. When asking about The Defenders he mentioned that he didn’t know the story that was going to be told but

What we do know is at the end of this year we’re going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome

If we look at a time line and see that Luke Cage will be coming out later this year and Iron Fist is currently being filmed, then its quite plausible that The Defenders could be coming out late next year. As far as a new season of Daredevil, Cox stated that he had not heard anything yet but that’s probably because they are working on a team up show. All I know is that we now have some kind of lead on when we will be getting our Netflix team up show.
