I accept defeat, LEGO Dimensions you have all the money I am able to give you. You intrigued me with the inclusion of Back to the Future characters being included, but now that all the original voice actors are back me buying this is a for sure thing. I remember playing other LEGO games and being a little underwhelmed, but this game has it all and I’m going to have to own it all. The inclusion of the Simpsons couch means that there would be some Simpsons later on in the future and I hear there’s a strong rumor about the 1966 Batman being playable down the road.
The creators are smart, because they put little set pieces and background characters of properties that aren’t available to buy yet so hype is created. Once they announce add-ons and downloadable content, all that hype will turn into revenue and their plan will have paid off. I also give credit to the videos they’re doing to promote this product. As a not so big fan of previous LEGO games, I am really loving the look as well as their creativity.
