Coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC this summer is Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island, a 3D platformer that mixes both comedy and a taste of something familar from GRIP Digital.

Homages are great and honestly when I first say this game I was reminded of the way Mario 64 handled and then I thought of Jak and Daxter, and I wasn’t going to mention another game in comparison but the CEO of Grip Digital beat me too it.
Anyone who enjoys the classic 3D platformers like Crash Bandicoot or the Jak and Daxter series will instantly fall in love with Skylar & Plux. There’s a lot of personality and humor, colorful characters and hours of great gameplay for the fans of the genre, as well as newcomers to the 3D platformer games
From the trailer you are an experiment who has gotten loose from your holding area and is now trying to escape and stop your homeland from being destroyed. Your main villain is a CRT who has small robotic minions, and all they want to do is get you back before they launch their master plan.
There are many different level types that you’ll encounter such as burning volcanoes, freezing mountains and a merciless desert. From the screen shots given, the game looks great and the anthropomorphic cat you play as doesn’t look like it messes around.
