I know that Thanos is going to be the major villain in the two part conclusion of the story arc that has been happening through multiple Marvel movies in phase 1 and 2, but with recent news that Taskmaster rights have reverted to Marvel Studios I think that another villain may be good for the two part Infinity Gauntlet movies. In the first Avengers movie even Loki wasn’t alone, he had the Chitauri helping him. I think that Taskmaster would be a great b story villain and do great against those who didn’t have powers or fly, but just fought.
Taskmaster is one of the coolest looking villains, depending on who’s drawing him, in the Marvel universe and has fought solo against some of the most powerful superheros that there are. Taskmaster is a genius and has the ability to copy any move that a person does, which makes it almost a mirror match when fighting a superhero. In his mind he has memorized the move list of heroes such as Captain America, Black Panther, Hawkeye and Spider-Man, and all of those characters will be in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie. If they introduced Taskmaster in the Infinity Gauntlet movies the memorized moves would be easy explain, because all he has to do is say that he memorized moves from watching the coverage from their battles. His top physical shape and weapon skills should allow him to go toe to toe with Captain America, shoot an arrow at Hawkeye, and go back to fighting without skipping a beat.
We’ve already seen Taskmaster fight Deadpool and Spider-Man in the animated show Ultimate Spider-Man, now it’s time for him to get onto some kind of screen. Even if Taskmaster doesn’t make it to the movie screen, he could pop up in Daredevil‘s Netflix series. Taskmaster has had his run-ins with Daredevil, and even though only a few skills would be used I still think that costume would look great in real life.
