In all fairness, this game did show at the Sony E3 2015 press conference, but what I’m excited about is the wording. Yes, Final Fantasy 7 came out on the original Playstation and was a monumental game that spawned such amazing products as the almost 6 foot Masamune, Sephiroth‘s sword, on my shelf. I get that, I know that it started on Playstation first and that’s why they are getting it first. The best part of the trailer for me is the phrase play it first on Playstation 4, which means that I’ll be able to play it second on Xbox One.
This remake looks beautiful. The shot of Midgar and the playground that you end up walking by before you meet back up with Aerith. The Shinra soldiers at the train station waiting for you as Avalanche approaches the station. The shot of Barrett‘s arm and Cloud‘s Buster Sword riddled with scratches and dents from battle, this trailer made my hair stand up. I can only imagine how kick ass Vincent looks and how attractive Aerith and Tifa look.
