DC Comics has been knocking it out of the park with their animated movies. Everything from Justice League: Doom and the amainzg Flashpoint movie, to the recent Justice League: Gods and Monsters. I was able to see Justice League: Gods and Monsters, so I’ll have a review up soon. During Comic Con down in San Diego it was announced that, among other DC movies being made, we are getting an animated film based on The Killing Joke.

Written by Alan Moore, The Killing Joke is one of the most popular and best known Batman stories out there. It centers around how Joker shot and paralyzed Barbara Gordon, tortured Jim Gordon by showing him nude photos Barbara after she was shot and how he was killed by Batman at the end of the book. Some theories out there may be that Batman never broke his only rule and didn’t kill Joker, but let’s hear what really happened from Grant Morrison.

There you go, Batman broke the Jokers neck so all arguments can now stop. Even though we all know the story and how it ended, it’s still going to be great seeing how it looks animated. We saw a small glimpse at what a PG version could look like in a flashback scene in Batman: Arkham Knight.
