There are only a few programs that I always look for when I go to a site that streams television shows. The Simpsons, Eek the Cat, Freakazoid, Histeria, Batman: The Animated Series and Seinfeld. Well one of those has been picked up and will now be available on Hulu.
The chief of content for Hulu, Craig Erwich, announced that Hulu had acquired all 180 episodes of Seinfeld. The amount per episode has differed from person to person, but it looks like they paid paid between $700,000 and $1 million per episode. As excited as well all are, I’m sure Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David are even more excited. Both Jerry and Larry are credited as co-creators and will be getting a nice check because of this deal.
I’m happy that the show is finally coming to Hulu, because I actually pay for Hulu Plus, but I would have rather it be on Netflix and skip all the commercials. The series were set to be on Netflix, but last year when the deal was presented Neflix passed.
As of right now there’s no definitive date when the episodes will be available, but when they are I’ll be adding and watching all of them.
