We are not under a month away from all of our favorite comic based shows returning. These long hiatus’ that they go on do nothing but give us time to speculate and make wild accusations online of what may or may not happen. Every day there’s news of a new actor being cast but the role’s aren’t always revealed, and when they are we get to sit and guess what the television version of our favorite comic book characters may be.
Gotham recently released a promo video that looked to glorify the fact that the villains would rise this season.
From the video it seems the Joker may have a prominant role in this season, and I feel it’s well deserved. Much like Slade Wilson (Deadshot) in Arrow, Gotham can easily use The Joker as someone who torments Bruce Wayne through this season and give a deeper relationship background to them both. The show doesn’t really stick to the comics, which is fine because it makes it their own interpretation. The one aspect that the promo does follow is just how creepy The Joker can be, and how all you see him doing is laughing. To him the world is one big joke and every action he performs is to have the reaction of a great punch line.
