To someone like me who just recently became employed, a job is a very high priority on any of my lists. When it comes to video games jobs are used only to progress a story and they’re usually only given for about an hour or two. In Final Fantasy Explorers, available January 26, 2016, the jobs system has come back and it reminds me of all the goodness of Final Fantasy Tactics.
This may only be exciting to a few of you, and you are one of the few then I’m there with you. I’ve been spending a lot of time with Final Fantasy Record Keeper, which takes battles from all the Final Fantasy games and turns them into rounds of 16 bit turn based combat.
You can pre-order Final Fantasy Explorers through the Square-Enix site for $39.99 to get the standards edition and $69.99 for the collectors edition.
The collectors editions includes the following
- 32-page artbook featuring illustrations by renowned artists Yoshitaka Amano, Gen Kobayashi and Toshiyuki Itahana
- “Songs for the Journey,” a 20-track music soundtrack sampler comprised of tracks by celebrated Composer Tsuyoshi Sekito
- Themed FINAL FANTASY EXPLORERS Nintendo 3DS hard case
