When I was in high school Pokemon blasted onto the scene in a huge way. The gameboy game accompanied by the popular television show was all people needed star challenging eachother with their leveled up pocket monsters. Like all things popular newere versions of what was out started popping up. Everything from Digimon to weird cartoons like Beyblade, the game even went from game to cards. Magic: The Gathering was and still is a very popular card battling game that can be seen being played at any convention and comic shop. If you were intiimidated by all that Magic offered then you could play the Pokemon card game, or the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game who’s characters were also part of a cartoon of the same name. Being the nerdy gamer that I was I watched both Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, but like most cartoons the episodes were out of order and I often was lost if I missed one. Pokemon went on to change it’s storylines while keeping the same main character, but Yu-Gi-Oh! branched out to some wild places. There was a Dungeon Dice version and even a version with car racing. I never played these versions of the game, but there was a cartoon and I caught a few episodes.

When Hulu became a thing, I was able to find all of the Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes and added them all to my queue. Due to Hulu having ads, the rate of me seeing these episodes has slowed down quite a bit. I started at season 1 and am currently in the middle of season 3. I was looking at the other versions of the show and I feel that this the Dragon Ball Z of the series and the others are the GT’s of the series, meaning they really don’t count. By viewing the name of the last episode of season 5, I can tell that Yu-Gi-Oh! has a definitive end, or so I thought.

The following trailer to an upcoming movie has shown me that even thought I may end the series at season 5, there is still one more two hour story to be told.

It looks like Yugi Muto is battling Seto Kaiba for the master of all duel monsters. There is a shot of an ancient relic that shows they are still sticking to the lore of YuGi being an Egyptian Pharaoh, which means that the vision of him fighting Seto throughout the years is still true and nothing has changed. The only thing I see happening now is that they’re playing in a stadium and a mysterious person at the end. If you ask me the mystery man at the end is probably Pegasus and will turn out to be the main villain of the story. Will Exodia make an appearance or maybe a new dragon? For a while the blue eyes white dragon was the best, but then the red eyes black dragon destroyed it. Yugi can spout about the heart of the cards, but unless Joey yells out Kunei with chains I will not be seeing this movie.
