I jumped into the demo for Deadhaus Sonata to see if this dark fantasy action RPG was worth the time. Going in, I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially with the difficulty and progression systems, but the experience ended up being a pleasant surprise.
In this video, I cover my first impressions of the combat, vampire mechanics, progression system, and the overall gameplay loop. Draining enemies for health, unlocking new abilities, and experimenting with different strategies made the demo feel satisfying without being overwhelming.
There are a few areas that could use more explanation, like the tarot card system and some mission clarity, but the core gameplay feels solid and fun.
If you enjoy dark fantasy action games, RPG progression, or the idea of playing as a powerful undead character, Deadhaus Sonata is definitely one to keep an eye on.
