After being neck deep in Metroidvanias, I was ready for something simple — and Pogui delivered exactly that.

Pogui is a short, straightforward platformer built around just three core actions: jump, crouch, and dash jump. No power-ups, no weapons, no complicated systems — just tight level design and pure movement.

In this review, I break down the gameplay, the five-world structure, the nightmare-themed final world, and why this game works as a great entry point for new players. Whether you’re looking for a quick one-hour experience or a beginner-friendly platformer, Pogui might be worth your time.

Also… full transparency — I accidentally deleted some of my later footage, so most of what you’ll see comes from the first two worlds. Certified content creator moment.

If you enjoy simple platformers or want something different from the usual Metroidvania formula, check this one out.
