Step into the crystal-punk world of LUCID! In this video, I play through the demo of this upcoming Metroidvania-style action platformer from Matte Black Studio and Apogee Entertainment. I’ll give you a breakdown of the story, the gameplay, and my honest thoughts on the experience.
LUCID takes place in Aedyn, a fractured world torn apart by the Great Fall, where you play as Oenn, a young Sentinel tasked with reviving the fallen Lucid Giant and restoring balance. Expect challenging platforming, epic boss fights, and beautiful pixel-art exploration.
I’ll be real with you — Metroidvanias aren’t usually my thing, but I gave this demo a shot and I’ve got plenty to say. Was it fun? Was it frustrating? Let’s find out together.
