Okay… legally, it’s called Agent 64: Spies Never Die. 😂
Agent 64 is a retro-inspired first-person spy shooter that wears its GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark influences proudly. From the blocky polygonal characters and painted-on faces to objective-based missions, multiple difficulties, karate chops and absolutely ZERO checkpoints, this feels like somebody found a lost Nintendo 64 FPS and released it in 2026.
I jumped into the campaign thinking that nearly 30 years of gaming experience — plus a mouse and keyboard — would finally make me better at this style of game.
Narrator: It did not.
In this review, I talk about the 14-mission campaign, the Cypher progression system that forces you to revisit missions on higher difficulties, unlockable Paradox modifiers, hidden collectibles, boss battles, multiplayer Arena mode and whether Agent 64 actually captures what made GoldenEye 007 so memorable.
It took me around six hours to finish because apparently I wasn’t playing Agent 64…
I was conducting a full federal investigation.
