Dre and I jumped into Slay the Spire 2 feeling pretty good about ourselves. The cards were flowing, the enemies were dropping, and we were already planning our victory speech.
Then the final boss arrived.
What followed was a masterclass in humility as the game reminded us that confidence and competence are not always the same thing. We went from talking about how easy things were to questioning every decision that led us to that moment.
