Dre and I jumped into Motorslice expecting some stylish chainsaw parkour, giant machine boss fights, and a unique world to explore. At first, the game definitely grabbed our attention. The visuals were interesting, the scale felt massive, and it seemed like there was something cool hiding underneath it all.
Unfortunately, the longer we played, the more repetitive everything became. The gameplay loop never really evolved, the world felt lifeless, and the cutscenes somehow managed to tell us absolutely nothing while showing us a whole lot of random stuff. By the end, we were left wondering if we missed something or if the game just forgot to explain itself.
Was Motorslice a hidden indie gem or a cool concept that couldn’t stick the landing? Check out our gameplay and hear our thoughts.
